Citizens Advice Bureaux
You may have read in the latest issue of our Newsletter 'Calling All Bureaux' of the new extension available under the Office Policy.
This caters for the possible losses to an employee or volunteer who may be driving their personal motor car on Bureaux business.
We would emphasise that this extension does not override the driver's need to insure his or her vehicle on the correct basis. However, the Policy will provide for the financial losses which may be incurred as a result of loss of No Claims Discount or payment of a Policy Excess.

We arrange exclusive policies for the Citizens Advice Bureaux, (CAB) its staff and volunteers:
OFFICE INSURANCE:
This policy is specifically designed to dovetail with the Group Policies arranged by Citizens Advice. The cover is very wide and premiums very competitive with over 300 Bureaux insured under the scheme.
TRUSTEE INDEMNITY:
We have covered this topic in some depth in our newsletter 'Calling All Bureaux'. Additional copies are available if required. Trustees can be held personally liable for Wrongful Acts including the costs of defending an action brought against them. Premiums start from £84.00 for £100,000 cover.
ACCIDENT & ILLNESS:
This scheme is designed specifically for CABx. The benefits provided conform with the Citizens Advice model Contract of Employment. Many bureaux now have service level agreements with funders this insurance will assist in meeting these requirements and also protect cash-flow. Bureaux will be aware of the various difficulties experienced due to the large number of claims for stress under the Policy. Regrettably, this led to the exclusion of stress and related disorders under the terms of the previous Policy.
However, following protracted negotiations with Underwriters at Lloyds, we are delighted to announce that we can now include stress within the Policy cover.
PERSONAL ACCIDENT:
Whilst arrangements are in place via Citizens Advice, the cover ceases on 31st March in the year following the employee or volunteer attaining their 75th birthday. Since many Bureaux have staff or volunteers over this age, we have arranged a special Policy to cover these persons.
